We did find a new brunch place close by though after we left. But this time it really felt like they were rushing us. She did come super fast when I put my CC on the little tray lol.Īnyway this sort of has been the norm for the last couple years but we didn't really notice much because we usually just take our time since we drink anyway. At this point we just waited for her to come back so we can ask for boxes and she never did. We weren't even close to being done with the food and she just passed by and left it on the table with "I'm just gonna leave this here is that ok?" And walked away. The only time she came back was to leave the check. Btw, although there were a lot of people waiting, there were many tables open so we assumed that maybe they were short staffed. My friend eventually had to flag her down to ask for drink refills and she brought them sort of with an attitude and again disappeared into the void. We got our food fairly quick but the waitress did not come back to refill our drinks and never came back with our salsa. Again we were super nice because u never want to be rude to people who are taking care of your food lol. We all sat and the waitress was very short and felt like she was rushing. Right before 2 hours we get the text telling us to come up. So we got champagne from the bar and sat down like usual and wait. I figure oh well, it's probably just busy and she's having a bad day so my friends and I decide to show up anyway. "We don't give that info out over the phone ma'am" over and over to anything I said. She kept saying the same line over and over again with this overly preppy voice that was clearly her antagonizing. I was very nice and told her that we live far and wanted to just maybe get an idea of whether or jot we'll even make it to get seated since they close at 4. The person who answered the phone argued with me for 5-10 minutes telling me that she won't give us an estimate. Recently, we planned to meet up like usual and we called to ask what the average wait was since some of us overslept and we couldn't make it as early as we usually do. is drinking a Sculpin by Ballast Point Brewing Company at Schooner or Later Draft Earned the Cheers to Independent U.S. this has never been a problem since 2015 and my group and I meet up a few times a month for brunch. Usually, we call in and ask on average how long the wait is just so we can coordinate what time we should plan on meeting up, leaving, etc. I live over an hour away and I will usually meet up with a group there and we all live all around Los Angeles. The wait used to be worth it because the food was good and the service was awesome. Whenever I come I expect to wait 1-2 hours for a table (3 hours on Mother's Day) but it's fine because they have a cute waiting area with lifeguard chairs and a bar. It's a diner at the marina, there's going to be a wait. This place used to be great but not so much nowadays.
